Plattypus ("Plattypus," "we," "us") is a performance marketing consultancy. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. It covers this website (www.plattypus.co) and the tools we use to manage advertising accounts for our clients, including tools that connect to the Google Ads API.
Information we collect
- Information you send us. When you email us, we receive your name, email address, and whatever you choose to include in your message.
- Client account data. When a client authorizes us to access their advertising accounts (for example, through Google sign-in and OAuth), we access campaign, ad group, ad, keyword, budget, and performance reporting data for the accounts they grant us access to.
- Basic technical data. Our website host may log standard technical information such as IP address, browser type, and pages visited, for security and reliability.
How we use information
- To respond to inquiries and provide our consulting services.
- To view, report on, analyze, and manage advertising campaigns on behalf of the clients who authorized us.
- To keep our website and tools secure and working properly.
We do not sell personal information, and we do not use client account data for advertising to anyone or for any purpose other than serving the client who provided access.
Google Ads API and Google user data
Our tools use the Google Ads API to access Google Ads accounts only with the account owner's explicit authorization. Data obtained through Google APIs is used solely to provide and improve the reporting and campaign management services the client requested.
Our use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. We do not transfer Google user data to third parties except as needed to provide the service, to comply with law, or with the user's consent, and we do not use it to train generalized AI or machine learning models.
You can revoke our access at any time from your Google Account permissions page or by removing our access within Google Ads.
Sharing
We share information only with service providers that help us operate (such as website hosting and email), when required by law, or with your permission. Those providers may use the information only to perform services for us.
Data retention and security
We keep information only as long as needed for the purposes above or as required by law. Access tokens and account data are stored securely, access is limited to people who need it, and data is deleted or returned when an engagement ends or upon request.
Your choices and rights
You can ask us to access, correct, or delete personal information we hold about you by emailing russell@plattypus.co. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under local law, and we will honor them.
Children
Our services are for businesses and are not directed to children under 16. We do not knowingly collect information from children.
Changes
We may update this policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date above shows when it last changed.
